Hi, I’m Sandra Maria, founder and Torchbearer of the Sanctuary of Hekate Kourotrophos.

For more than 30 years, I have followed my own spiritual path. It is nature-rooted and polytheistic, shaped by witchcraft, ancient greco-egyptian magic and spirituality, chaos magick, buddhism, and druidry. Over time, this has become a grounded and living practice that continues to evolve, just as I do.

The Tarot has been with me from the very beginning. It is my favorite tool, a mirror and oracle, a steady companion in conversation with the unseen.

In 2021, I consciously placed Hekate at the center of my life. She is the heart of my practice, and it was from this deep devotion that the Sanctuary was born, a space for community, knowledge, and connection around Hekate, especially for German-speaking seekers.

Alongside Hekate, other deities hold an important place in my life. An Mórrígan, Isis, Freyja, and Hermes stand at my side in their own distinct ways.

The years between 2016 and 2024 were deeply transformative. Worldly challenges and spiritual processes moved in rhythm with one another and taught me to trust my inner voice.

I live with a physical disability and believe wholeheartedly that magic and spirituality belong to everyone. Depth is not found despite our fractures, but often through them.
